Differentiated three ways, this pizza fraction game encourages students to recognise halves, thirds, quarters, sixths and eighths with lots of opportunities to discuss all things equivalent. Varied pizza toppings are of course included, with the exception of the pineapple chunk as I still refuse to accept it’s place in the pizza environment.
The gist of the game is to take it in turns to roll the fraction dice (free to download here or feel free to save the trees and use your own dice) then use the tasty toppings to cover the correct fraction of pizza.
The winner is the person who manages to “top” all their pizzas first.
